Second Chance for me means a helping hand, offering another an employment opportunity and giving a fresh start with a great company and team. It has given me the chance to help someone who is homeless find some housing opportunities. A person who walks in the cold and snow to the bus stop for a ride. It has also given me the privilege of helping one individual navigate a complex mortgage application so that he could understand the wording. This helped put him on his path to a first home.

Second Chance means to me that we go beyond the “checking the box” and understand the individual and consider the talent that could be there to help our company achieve our goals. When giving someone a second chance at employment, they are more productive and loyal then the general associate population. There is significant talent in the segment of population that has a felony in their background. All criminal activity is contextual. Don’t judge someone by the worst thing they did in their life.
